The Big Day

We are so excited to have you at our wedding! Below are important details for our big celebration!

When:

Sunday, May 30, 2010

Ceremony at 2 o'clock (but feel free to get to arrive early and enjoy the park's beautiful nature and surroundings!) and we should be all wrapped up (and tuckered out from all of the dancing!) right around sunset, say 7:30pm or so.

Where:

Elk Glen Grove, Golden Gate Park, San Francisco
(On Martin Luther King Drive at approximately 28th Avenue across from scenic Mallard Lake). Click on the above link to see an aerial map of our Wedding Site. Also note, there are two very similar sounding places in the park: Elk Glen Meadow (not us) and Elk Glen Grove. We're in the Grove, across from a cute lake, away from the buzz of Lincoln Way. If you're using a GPS or other fancy device, use the address 1034 Martin Luther King Jr Drive.

Attire:

We're a casual bunch, so, pants/collared shirts for the gents and sundresses for the ladies will be just fine. No ties for us! That said, DO bring something to cover up with - a jacket or sweater or something. Even if it is 95 degrees in Union Square, it still may be (most likely will be!) foggy and/or colder out in the Park. San Francisco is notoriously foggy...so come prepared to be warm - wear layers! Above all, be comfy, and bring your dancin' shoes! Oh, and did we mention to bring a sweater? That will be a very good idea. :)

Transportation:

We strongly encourage you to take mass transit or ride a bike to the wedding site, though there is some parking on-site (on MLK Drive) and within a block or two vicinity on Lincoln Way.

Mass transit options

include the comfy N-Judah Light Rail to 25th or 28th Avenues and Judah, or the Lincoln Bus #29 stops at 25th or 28th Avenues and Lincoln Way.

From Union Square hotels, walk to the Powell Muni Station on Market Street (between 4th and 5th streets), and hop on an outbound N-Judah Train ($2 for adults). Exit at 25th Avenue and Judah, head north (to the right) on 25th, enter Golden Gate Park, and then head West (left) on MLK for about 2 minutes until you see our wedding site! The entire trip from Union Square to the Park should be about a half hour.

For detailed transit directions from other locations, please see the maps below, or email us and we'll be glad to help!:
